Chief Mate Phase I & II


Aims
This Programme covers part of the education and training required under Regulation II/2 and aims to meet the standards of competence specified in Section A-II/2 of the STCW 2010

Objectives

The objectives of this Programme are to prepare a candidate to appear for the examinations of Phase I and Phase II of the Certificate of Competency as Chief Mate of a Foreign going Ship.

Programme Duration 3 Months
Eligibility Hold a certificate of competency as Second Mate of a foreign going ship (Officer in charge of a navigational watch on ships of 500 GT or more) issued by Government of India and have approved sea –going service for a period of not less than 9 months for Phase I and 18 months for Phase II.
Fees Structure Chief Mate Phase I - Rupees 30,000.00
Chief Mate Phase II - Rupees 30,000.00

Approval

Academy of Maritime Education and Training (AMET) received the approval to conduct the Programme vide Approval No: TR/A/ 177/2012.Dt:14.11.2012.


Programme Commencement

 The First Batch Commenced on 17th Dec 2012. Successive batches to be offered every Three months as per DGs Calendar.
