B.E Naval Architecture and Marine Systems Engineering

Features of the Programme:

This Programme is formulated to obtain expertise in Naval Architecture and Marine Equipments Systems functioning so that on completion of the degree, the candidates are eligible to occupy Engineer/managerial positions in various Government and private Shipyards, Ship Design offices, Boatyards, Classification Societies, Marine equipment manufacturing companies within India and abroad. Great opportunities exist in Mechanical departments of shipyards for installation and commissioning of equipments and systems and this breed is very rare in Ship building industry

Programme Duration: 4 years or 8 semesters

Eligibility Criteria
Qualification  A pass in Plus-Two ( 12 th Standard ) or its equivalent, with minimum 50% aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry group and 55% marks in English from recognized Board.
Age Below 25 years at the time of commencement of the Programme.
Gender Both Male and Female candidates are eligible to apply  
Physical fitness Candidates must undergo Medical Test for Physical Fitness.

Mode of Selection
Admission test / Personal interview / Medical Examination. JEE/AIEEE students will be given preference.

Lateral Entry
Eligibility
The candidates with a) Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Marine and Naval Architecture or b) Engineering students (BE/BTech Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Marine and Naval Architecture) who have successfully completed first year or c) BSc candidates in Maths and Physics with 60% marks are eligible for admission in Second year. Good communication and Writing skills in English is a must.
