Building on the resounding success of its inaugural edition in 2024, the AMET Global Maritime Awards (AGMA) returns for its 2nd annual edition in 2025, honoring outstanding contributions to the maritime sector across leadership, education, and innovation. Instituted in memory of Dr. Naesey J. Ramachandran, a visionary in global maritime education, AGMA continues to celebrate individuals, institutions, and startups creating a positive global impact aligned with sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Award Categories

• Maritime Leadership Award (Men & Women)
  Recognizing individuals whose visionary efforts have uplifted maritime education and practice globally.
• Maritime Excellence Award
  Awarded to institutions demonstrating exceptional innovation and performance in maritime education.
• Maritime Innovation Award
  Honoring startups or small businesses redefining the maritime sector through technology, product, or business model innovation.

• Assessment by Jury: 16 June 2025
• Notification of Awardees: 17 June 2025
