Dr.S.Bharathi Raja, M.Tech, Ph.D, F.I.E. is serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering in AMET University. His 25 years of academic experiences include teaching, research, administration, examination and accreditation. He completed his M.Tech. and Ph.D. from SASTRA University and received his Ph.D. degree from our beloved former President of India, Late Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam. His research area includes Machining Optimization, CNC machines, Bio-materials, and Additive Manufacturing. He has published more than 25 research articles in Journals and Conferences. He has served as the Principal of Indra Ganesan College of Engineering, Trichy for 10 years and Senior Assistant Professor in SASTRA University, Thanjavur for 15 years. As the Principal, he has elevated Indra Ganesan College of Engineering to 39th Rank out of 506 Engineering colleges in TN in the academic performances in November 2016. He is a recognized supervisor in Anna University, and produced one Ph.D. degree holder. He is a doctoral committee member for Ph.D. aspirants. He has filed and published two patents in biomaterials and micromachining. He has filed a design patent on ocean oil cleaning. He is a recipient of “Anna University Intellectual Property Award-2017”. He is an advisor for NAAC process in accreditation aspiring institutions. He is a recipient of “Dhronachariyar Award” from Akhil Bharti Vidyardi Parishad. He has also received “Meritorious Service Award: COVID-19” from INDIAN RED CROSS Society. He is the author of “Automobile Technology” text book for diploma level students. He is professional life member in IE(I), ISTE, IRED, IAENGG. He has delivered 92 public keynote addresses so far in various topics that include Accreditation, Research, Projects, Communication skills, Examination, Attitude and so on.
