A.Jayasekaran, MSc (Applied Chemistry), MBA (HRM) is a Director- Petroleum Engineering, Academy of Maritime Education and Training (AMET, a Deemed to be University), Chennai. He has explored various possibilities and enhanced placements for petroleum engineering students. He obtained his bachelor’s degree B.Sc (Applied Science) faculty of Engineering from CEG, Madras University and M.Sc in Applied Chemistry specialized in Petroleum Technology& Pollution Control from CEG, Anna University and MBA inHRM from IGNOU, New Delhi. He has 34 years of Industry experience in Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Ltd, and hasserved in Assets, Basins and Institutes at Ahmedabad, Jorhat, Chennai, Mumbai and Karaikalin various capacities and superannuated as Group General Manager - Reservoir. He also served as Company Reservoir Testing Engineer on deputation for about a year at OVL – Qatar. He has received many awards in ONGC and attended various specialized trainings on Water Injection Management, EOR, Well testing software, Safety Trainings such as HUET, Sea Survival, Firefighting etc., Advanced training for Senior Management at IIM, Calcutta. He was on deputation and training at France, USSR, and European countries. He has presented many technical findings in ONGC conferences and PSEB.He knew Tamil, English and Hindi as well as studied Russian language for attending training at USSR. He has given Internship and Project works to many college students in and around Karaikal as well as AMET University students. He was member of Academic Council and Governing body for ADM College for Women, Nagapattinam and Academic Council Member for Chemical Engineering, TanjaiPeriammai College, Tanjore.
