Amidst the Covid – 19 pandemic, the University Grants Commission (UGC) had directed all its Higher Educational Institutions to establish a Cell for handling grievances of the students, Faculty and Staff to Covid and Health oriented grievances. As per the instructions, our University had established a Covid Cell during Covid Lockdown and Pandemic period to look in to the issues that emerged to students, Faculty and Staff in relation to the pandemic and to suggest, implement and extend necessary reforms and assistance wherever it is required.

COVID Cell helps our Students and Faculty to overcome the issues related to COVID-19 pandemic.

In this regard, daily routines arrangement were being followed in our campus during Covid – 19 Pandemic lockdown period as detailed below as per Government Advice from time to time.

  • All teaching and Non-Teaching staff members and students are advised to wear masks.
  • At the time of entry into the campus, hands to be sanitized using pedal sanitizer and thermal checking is mandatory at the time of entry and exit.
  • Physical presence in the Meetings has to be avoided instead technology can be used effectively.
  • Ensure 100% hygiene at the premises with the help of housekeeping department at all places.
  • Restate the importance of social distancing, washing of hands, not to touch face, importance of self and workplace sanitization daily.
  • Social distancing to be maintained in the University premises including all departments / offices.
  • Work areas which are being used regularly need to be sanitized on a daily basis after the closing of working hours to make it ready for the next day.
  • Washrooms to be sanitized frequently including taps, door handles, etc.
  • Do not use AC and keep the doors and windows opened for ventilation.
  • Usage of staircase should be encouraged instead of lifts.
  • Sharing of food, water and other belongings is not entertained.
  • Created separate WhatsApp group of Covid Cell for medical counselling to the Faculty and Students with free of Cost. In this group, Specialized Doctors and Psychologist also included and given useful guidance and counselling to the medical needy.

Covid Cell Advisory Committee

An Advisory Committee has been constituted with the following members and functioning to implement the Covid – 19 protocols issued by the Governments from time to time.

Covid – 19 Awareness Programs and Activities and implementation had been arranged during Covod -19 period. The Covid Cell is periodically organizes events and activities. To name a few:
1. FDP on Awareness Program on Covid – 19 on 29th May 2021
2. Organized Covid 19 – test for Faculty and staff members on 26th August 2020
3. Precautionary measures photos / Social distance photos on 1st December 2020
4. Students Quarantine meeting with Medical Officers on 2nd December 2020
5. Conducting End Semester Exams through Online with Proctoring on 22nd December 2020
6. Covid test and precautionary measures at the time of Students reporting on 22nd January 2021- 22
7. Awareness program to the students on 23rd January 2021
8. Organized Covid 19 – test for Faculty and staff members on 20th March 2021
9. Covid 19 – Reglief fund to the Local poor people by Honorable Chancellor on 23rd June 2021-22
