SCIENCE FOR THE FUTURE AND AMET SCIENCE INNOVATION AWARD 2016

About the Exhibition
AMET University is the first University dedicated exclusively for marine and maritime studies in India. Since 2007, as a deemed to be University, AMET involved in the studies of Marine Science and Ocean Technology which includes designing and building of ships (Naval Architecture), navigation of ships (Nautical Science), operation and maintenance of ships (Marine Engineering), building and operation of ports (Harbour Engineering), oil exploration under the oceans (Petroleum Engineering), construction of underwater and offshore platforms (Offshore Engineering), mining of minerals and ores (Mining Engineering),desalination, Marine Biology, Aquaculture, Marine Biotechnology, drugs from sea, tidal energy, Autonomous Underwater Vehicles-robotics, climate studies, global warming etc. University is committed to identify, support and nurture the young minds with innovative thoughts. Hence, a Sceince Exhibition on the theme �SCIENCE FOR FUTURE� is being organized on 15th November 2016 and awarding of creative young minds with AMET Science Innovation Award. This exhibition is inviting students of 10th, 11th and 12th either as individual or a small group not exceeding three members to exhibit their innovative working models or exhibits pertaining to the theme and other related subjects. Participants are encouraged to exhibit models on Marine Science and Ocean Technology as well.

In each category, one best project/exhibit will be selected and will be awarded as AMET MARINE INNOVATION AWARD 2016.
The award winners will be taken to an ISRO lab, Bangalore to spend entire day with space scientists. AMET University will extend transport facilities and entire hostage for that one day visit for the Award winner. Projects/Exhibits will be evaluated by eminent scientists of international reputation.

ELIGIBILITY FOR PARTICIPATION
Students of 10th, 11th and 12th standard either as individual or as a group of maximum three students from government and private schools are eligible for registering in the Science Exhibition and Marine Innovation Award 2016 in the prescribed format. For each category one entry per school only will be accepted.

HOW TO APPLY
Interested young minds having innovative ideas with above eligible criteria are required to apply on or before October 31, 2016 through the Principal of their respective schools. Selected participants will be intimated on or before November 05, 2016. Click here to download the application

There is NO entry fee for participation. However, selection of participants is the discretion of the University.
