AMET University joins International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU)

The International Association of Maritime Universities, (IAMU), the association founded amongst the maritime universities of the world, is dedicated to the enhancement of global maritime excellence.

At its 9th AGA held at San Francisco, California on 20th and 21st October 2008, the 'full membership' certificate was presented to Captain S Bhardwaj, Vice Chancellor of AMET University.

The theme of 9th AGA was "Common seas, Common shores : The New Maritime Community" and over 35 papers were presented at the conference following the AGA.

IAMU enjoys NGO status at IMO and has top ranking maritime universities of the world as its members, whose mutual cooperation continue to shape global maritime education and policy.
