AMET UNIVERSITY signs M.O.U. with U.K. based ARCHOMAI Group.

Archomai Group, headquartered in United Kingdom and Working with organizations based in Gulf Cooperation Council countries (Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE), China, South Africa, Argentina, Poland, Romania, Spain, Portugal and USA to develop innovative learning products and services.

An M.O.U. has been signed by AMET University Chancellor Mr. J. Ramachandran and Archomai Group CEO, Mr. Robert. J. Bell on 9th November, 2007 in Chennai to establish a Training facility in the areas of Ports and Terminals Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

AMET University Vice Chancellor, Capt. S. Bhardwaj, present during the occasion has highlighted the need for establishing a state of the art facility with capabilities to offer Equipment based training (for handling equipments like Fork Lift Trucks) and simulator based training (to handle ship to shore gantry cranes). He mentioned that the cooperation with Archomai Group will enable AMET University to offer various levels of courses from the foundation Apprenticeship level to Post Graduate level.

Archomai Group CEO, Mr. Robert. J. Bell appreciated the progress made by Chennai as a leading centre for education and expressed his confidence that AMET Archomai Training facility will develop as a good facility to train large number of students for employing in the Port & Terminal sector in India and other overseas loacations.
