The vice Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Open University Prof S . Palanichamy , on 27th Feb 2007, brought with him to AMET a 25 members delegation of "CommonWealth of Learning " (COL) comprising of educationists from various CommonWealth countries. The CommonWealth of learning is an inter governmental organization created by Common Wealth leader of governments to encourage and develop open learning / distance education knowledge, resource and technologies. COL helps developing nations improve access to quality education and training. COL is head quartered in Vancouver Canada.
