Cadets
from the Academy participated
in the State Level Inter Professional
Institutions Swimming Competitions
organized by the Hindustan
College of Engineering at
the Aquatic Complex, Velachery.
The Competition was held on
1st and 2nd of September,
2006. The cadets came out
with a rich haul of medals
winning the GROUP CHAMPIONSHIP
in the process. The two-day
extravaganza started with
Mr. Karthik BE 5, winning
the 50 mts Butterfly Stroke
and Mr. Soumyo Jyoti collecting
the bronze. Mr. Karthik bagged
the silver in the Back Stroke.
Our relay team comprising
of Mr.Karthik Mr. Animesh,
Mr. Akeel Abbas and Mr. Krish
pouched the gold in the 200
mts free style relay as they
won the event convincingly
clocking 1min 58:33 sec. Mr.
Karthik had to be contend
with the Silver medal in the
Breast Stroke and bronze medal
in the 50 mts free style.
Again from the 200mts Individual
Medley and 100 mts free style
Mr. Karhik added silver to
his collection. In the 50
mts free style Silver and
Bronze medals won by Animesh
Sharma and Karthik, filled
our kitty.

to present papers at the 4
yearly International COMMAND
Seminars organized jointly
by Nautical Institute, IFSMA
and The Honourable Company
of Master Mariners of U.K.
He
has in May 2006, been to Los
Angeles, U.S.A. at the invitation
of The Council of American
Master Mariners, CAMM, to
attend their AGM and deliver
a paper on Environmental Management.
