The motto of AUCC is "Educate Employ and Elevate". The educational activities are designed in line with the needs and demands of the ship building industries and community. The main objective of the college is to offer skill and job oriented Programme based on the perceived community demand for specific skill requirement. The college performs three major functions namely teaching, training and extension. It attempts to create a model of employment oriented education with the collaboration of various ship building and heavy engineering industries.
