Features of the programme:

The BBM programme has been developed to prepare students to meet the requirements of organizations in the Shipping and Logistics sector so as to have a fundamental knowledge of the theoretical dimensions of business operations as well as an understanding of the practical application of these theories in the chosen areas of Shipping and Logistics domain. The BBM programme is built in 3 stages. In the first year the focus is on building the foundation in the core subjects and also training the students to excel in computing and communication skills. At the end of 1st year, students will be required to undergo internship for 4 weeks. In the second year, focus will be to impart detailed inputs in the core subjects and also giving the introduction to Shipping and Logistics sector. Students will be required to choose one of the following 3 focus areas:
1. Liner Trade
2. Port Agency & Chartering
3. Multimodal Transportation
At the end of 2nd year, students will be required to undergo internship for 6 weeks.

The final year focuses on providing students with an integrated and holistic view of business and an indepth understanding of the chosen area. Students will be required to do 2 projects in the third year in their chosen area.

Duration: 3 years or 6 semesters

Admission procedure:

Eligibility:

Pass in Higher Secondary with 50% marks.

Admission Test:

Test for proficiency in English will be conducted and candidates securing below 50 % will be required to take special coaching to bridge the gap in communication.

Commencement of the classes:

End July / Early August.
