Civil engineers design and supervise the construction of infrastructure such as roads, buildings, tunnels, airports, dams, bridges, and water supply and sewage systems. One of the oldest of the engineering disciplines, civil engineering encompasses many specialties, including structural, water resources, environmental, construction, transportation and geotechnical engineering.

Qualification : A Pass in Plus-two (12th Standard) or its equivalent, with minimum 50% Marks for OC and 45% Marks for others aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry group and 50% marks in English from any recognized Board. An aptitude for field work is necessary.

Age : Not more than 25 years at the time of commencement of the course

Lateral Entry Diploma in Civil Engineering

Lateral Entry : B.Sc Degree in Information Technology/Geology/Physics/Geography/Electronics or Diploma in Electronics and Communications Engineering/Information Technology/Computer Science Engineering with 60% Marks. Good Communication and Writing skills in English and basic knowledge of computer science are essential
