Capt.S Bhardwajhas over 37 years of work experience, which includes 5 years as Master of various types of ships and then 24 years of multi-disciplinary shore experience in senior and top management positions.

He is:

  • Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (UK), 
  • Fellow of The Nautical Institute (UK),
  • Fellow of The Royal Institution of Naval Architects (UK),
  • Fellow of Company of Master Mariners of India,          

He is the first Vice Chancellor of Academy of Maritime Education and Training (AMET), Chennai (2007-2012).

He is the recipient of the award, "Outstanding Contribution - Maritime Education and Training" at The Leadership and Excellence Awards 2008 of The Shipping and Marine World Expo held at Mumbai
